Videoland wants to take over Viaplay Netherlands activities

DPG Media intends to acquire the activities of Viaplay Netherlands. Videoland will thereby expand its offering with sports rights and programming from Viaplay Netherlands.

After completion of the acquisition, live sports rights, among other things, will be integrated into Videoland. The source cites Formula 1, football from the English Premier League and PDC Darts as examples. For Viaplay subscribers, nothing will change for the time being; they will retain access to their current subscription and app.

Viaplay Netherlands currently employs around 50 people. They will transfer to DPG Media. The acquisition is subject to the usual approval procedures.
