VIVA Returns as an Online Media Brand

Kompas Publishing has announced that the VIVA media brand will be relaunched as an online platform in September 2026. The brand was active for many years as a magazine and website but was taken offline in 2021 after the print edition was discontinued in 2019. In 2024, Kompas Publishing acquired the title.

According to the publisher, VIVA’s original concept will remain intact: a platform where a wide range of topics can be openly discussed. In addition to editorial content, the renewed platform will also feature contributions from its community. The existing VIVA Forum, which has remained active since the website went offline, will continue to play an important role.

The new VIVA is aimed at women aged 28 and older and will cover topics such as relationships, work, health, identity, personal finance, travel, fashion, and personal experiences. The publisher is also exploring additional formats, including podcasts, video content, events, and potentially a return to print in the future. The new website will be available at viva.nl from September 2026.
