From September 24, NRC will publish a weekly in-depth interview with a party leader in the run-up to the Dutch general election on October 29. The conversations, lasting over an hour, are conducted by the political editorial team and are available as a podcast, as video on NRC’s YouTube channel, and as articles on nrc.nl and in the newspaper. According to editor-in-chief Patricia Veldhuis, NRC aims with this format to reach not only its traditional readers but also younger audiences via platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
