KIJK launches vertical video environment KIJK Shorts in early 2027

KIJK, Talpa Network’s free online video platform, will launch KIJK Shorts in early 2027, a new section within the platform dedicated to short-form vertical content. Available via web and app, KIJK offers programmes and video content from channels including SBS6, NET5 and Veronica, and is free for viewers with advertising. KIJK Shorts will be mobile-first and will feature Dutch drama, reality and entertainment formats developed specifically for vertical viewing. This content will also be available to viewers free of charge.

For advertisers, KIJK Shorts will add new video inventory to VideoConnect. In addition to regular video advertising, opportunities will include branded formats, partnerships and the co-creation of vertical series. Short production cycles will make it possible to develop formats relatively quickly around campaigns and brand objectives. The first original production for KIJK Shorts will be Code Rood, a micro-drama series set to premiere exclusively on KIJK in early 2027.
