Brugmedia grows to 13 local titles with acquisition of Regiobode

Regiobode Beheer B.V. has officially joined Brugmedia B.V. As a result of this merger, Brugmedia's portfolio grows from 7 to 13 local titles, with a combined circulation of 250,000 newspapers. Online reach is also set to increase, according to the announcement.

Regiobode publishes Ommer Nieuws, de Oprechte Dalfser Courant, Weekblad voor Salland and De Regiobode. De Regiobode appears in three editions: Brummen, Doesburg and Rheden. In addition, the publisher produces several tourist magazines.

Brugmedia, based in Kampen, publishes 7 door-to-door newspapers, each with its own app, website and social media channels, and handles the production of approximately ten newspapers for third parties. Laurens Meuleman remains director and shareholder of Regiobode; Johan van der Kolk becomes majority shareholder.
