conversational interface

A conversational interface makes it possible to control a computer by talking to it. This often looks as if you’re talking to a person.
In general there are two types of conversational interfaces: virtual assistants and chatbots. You can audibly ask a virtual assistant (voice assistant) to do something, like play music, search on Wikipedia or call a contact. A chatbot is a conversational interface which you can ask questions or give instructions by typing messages.
In the near future, conversational interfaces will ensure users themselves have to take less technical actions to get answers to their questions or have activities carried out.
Examples of conversational interfaces are OK Google by Google, Siri by Apple and Microsoft’s Cortana. Facebook has M., a chatbot.
